Best Portable Record Player With Built-In Speakers

The Best Portable Record Player With Built-In Speakers: Top 9

I put together this guide to narrow down the best portable record player with built-in speakers to help you make a decision.

There are a few dozen brands that offer the portable turntable, this is a short version of the best for the cost available.

It’s really exciting to be able to play vinyl again and thanks to many companies old and new, they have made it much easier and affordable for us.

With a compact turntable that has all of your components already built-in, they only thing you need is a great vinyl record to listen to.

I have to be honest about when this style came out I was very hesitant of the quality.  They looked cool, but seemed really cheap and delicate.

After hours or research and testing, my mind was changed and I am now a very happy owner of a briefcase record player!

What to look for when buying a record player

Whether you are new to record players or returning to it, this process can be a little intimidating.

There are lots of choices, and to be honest some of them look good but might not sound the best.  Rest assure, we have done our homework and put together a fantastic list of turntables, some we own personally and some we got to play with for a week.  We think these portable record players are the very best.

Here are some thins to keep in mind when looking for a record player:

  1. Being portable is a great option, the suitcase version travel the best, while many others are small enough to carry from lets say one room to the other.
  2. Record speed is important, the two main speeds you will be using are 33 1/3 and 45 RPM.  If you hame some old records, then check to see if they need to be played at 78 RPM’s.
  3. Speakers, all the players in this article come with built-in-speakers.  This will sound pretty good, but some better than others.  If you want to be able to have fuller sound, make sure they have RCA output so you can connect to external speakers.
  4. Do you want to ‘record’ to MP3?  A couple of these can do that.
  5. Important to understand Bluetooth, these record players won’t play to a bluetooth speaker.  They only can play your smartphone device as the speaker.  They do make some turntables that can do that, but you will pay a bit more for that.
  6. Do you want an all-in-one device to play CD’s, the Radio and your smart phone?

#1. Victrola Vintage Turntable

Victrola has been making record players since the early 1900s.  That’s a long time, and if anyone knows how to do it, Victrola does.

This portable suitcase-style turntable is one of Victrola’s most popular.

Everything you need to start playing your records is right here.  Turn it on and start playing.  Control sound with a volume knob.  The stereo speakers are just right for this little guy.

With several options to expand the sound to an external speaker system.

Available in a dozen or more different colors and patterns.

My Rating:
4.8 out of 5

#2. Victrola 8-1 Turntable

Another great Victrola, but this one is stacked with all your favorite ways to listen to music.

  • Record Player
  • Cd Player
  • FM Radio
  • Cassette Tape Player
  • USB – Record to MP3
  • Connect BlueTooth and play music through Victrola’s speakers.

This great vintage looking record player can play all these great old and new musical formats.

The sound quality is fantastic for it’s size, and you can connect to a larger speaker system if you choose.

A great compact option for all your needs.  This beautiful wood box comes in several color finishes.

My Raiting:
4.8 out of 5

#3. Wockoder TurnTable

Wockoder is a simple straight to the point record player.

Its a beautiful wood box with a clear dust cover, no fancy knobs or lights.  But what it lacks in flashy decor it makes up for in sound.

The Wockoder is easy to use with the lever to lower the needle nice and gently so that it won’t scratch the record is a nice option.

This record player sounds really nice for its size and its portability makes this an excellent choice.

My Rating:
4.1 out of 5

#4. SeeYing Record Player

SeeYing portable turntable and radio reminds of the player I had in school.  It came with big speakers and cassette player and the turn table was on top.  Familiar plastic parts.

This is compact and portable which makes it easy to take from room to room.  With speakers built in, it makes popping a record on easier than trying to pull up your bluetooth speaker and paring them with your phone.

Which is a great reason this is great for beginners who want to enjoy records.

The sound is from built-in stereo speaker’s, which are not bad but not the fullest sounding, but thats ok, you can hook up to bigger ones if you would like.

My Rating:
4.8 out of 5
